Welcome!

Toronto Canada, home of MILOR

milor.net is the home site for Mike Green and MILOR InfoTech.

Mike founded MILOR (pronounced MY-lor) in 1995.
MILOR is based in Toronto, Canada and has been providing  quality I.T. technical consulting services for over twelve years.

a note from Mike Green:
"MILOR has in the past been primarily a one-person show. That's why much of the text on these pages is written in the first person. By staying small, I managed to maintain viability and eliminated costly extras, diversions and overhead.
My direction changed dramatically when , two years ago, I started a new company (Awaken my Senses) with my partner in life and in business, Colleen Hague. Colleen, a licensed aromatherapist, introduced me to the world of essential oils and their fascinating properties (prior to meeting Colleen, I thought essential oils were what you got from eating salmon!)
In fact, essential oils are derived from various plants and are in essence (pardon the pun) the immune system of the plant. Many essential oils have remarkable properties. Lavender essential oil, for example, when placed on a cut or scratch, eliminates the sting and itching and promotes rapid healing - with no infection. Who knew?
I hit my hand quite badly with a hammer (I was actually aiming somewhere else). Roman Chamomile reduced the swelling to almost nothing - and completely stopped the pain.
This was a revelation to me and I decided to join with Colleen and develop a range of products that were natural - 100% organic wherever possible - using essential oils to provide the benefits that the large companies try to do with hundreds of chemical compounds (you can't patent an essential oil). The result:
Awaken My Senses
Oh yes - I'm still doing the odd bit of photography. If you're checking in periodically for updates, please bear with me - production has slowed - but I'll keep trying. Besides, there's a wealth of photo work on the net that puts mine to shame.
Bye for now,
Mike"

"We succeeded in taking that picture [from deep space], and, if you look at it, you see a dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever lived, lived out their lives. The aggregate of all our joys and sufferings, thousands of confident religions, ideologies and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilizations, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every hopeful child, every mother and father .........  lived there on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam."

Carl Sagan

We live in an unprecedented period when we are in a position to unlock many of the secrets of the universe. Exploration of our own solar system became possible only in our lifetimes. It has already yielded a realm of astounding discoveries.

As our technology advances, our ability to explore increases while the associated costs decrease. Unfortunately, just as things are really getting interesting, numerous planned cutbacks are placing our efforts in this exciting field in jeopardy.

A cutback now may mean that a mission that could change everything we thought we knew, won't happen in your lifetime.

Please support planetary exploration.
